Canadian's investment in U.S. properties has been decreasing steadily...
...due to:
1). Unfavorable exchange rates, and
2). Increasing U.S. home prices.
Many Canadians "already bought" in the favorable 2011-2013 conditions; and they are now:
1.) selling for a profit or
2.) sitting comfortable with the option to sell for a profit.
Eight out of 10 Canadian buyers bought their U.S. homes for vacation or investment purposes, so Florida remains popular and is still of interest.
FYI: 37% of all homes purchased in this country are Canadian buyers! Many of which in Florida and Southwest Florida.
